About Us

  • Australia Street OSHC is a single service operated by Australia Street Infants School Parents and Citizens’ Association with no affiliation to any other service or group.

  • Regulation: Our service operates under the National Quality Framework.

  • Enrolment: We cater exclusively for children attending Australia Street Preschool and Australia Street Infants School.

  • Capacity:

    • Vacation care: up to 55 children per session (45 for Excursions)

    • After School Care: up to 80 children per session

    • Before School Care: up to 25 children per session

  • Operating Hours:

    • Before School Care Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - school/preschool start

    • After School Care: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm - 6:00pm

    • Vacation Care: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 6:00pm during school holidays and on Staff Development Days

    • Closed on Public Holidays and for three weeks over the Christmas/ New Year period.

  • Supervision Ratios:

    • Minimum 1 educator per 10 children (1:10)

    • 1 educator per 6 children (1:6) during excursions

    • There are always two or more educators on duty

  • Meals: Breakfast is provided at Before School Care, and afternoon tea is provided at After School Care.

  • Drop-off and Pick-up: Please use the Denison Street entrance (Lennox House).

  • Learning Frameworks:

    • My Time, Our Place - for school-aged children

    • Early Years Learning Framework - for preschool-aged children
