Term 2 Week 6
Dear Families,
We hope you're all keeping warm as the cooler weather starts to settle in! It's been a wonderful few weeks at Australia Street OSHC and we have plenty to share with you.
What We've Been Up To
Celebrating Nurses Day: On 12 May we took a moment to honour and celebrate the incredible nurses in our community. Children shared stories about nurses they know and love, and we talked about the care and courage it takes to do such an important job, and wrote some cards which were given to nurses at work.
International Day for Cultural Diversity: We celebrated the rich diversity of cultures within our OSHC community with activities that explored food, language, music, and traditions from around the world. We learnt about countries and learnt to draw their flags.
Snowflake Making: With the temperature dropping, we've been getting into the winter spirit! Children got creative making their own paper snowflakes, no two were alike, just like the children who made them. Keep an eye out, they've been a wonderful decoration around the service.
Vacation Care Programming Underway
Planning for our upcoming Vacation Care program is well underway and we are working hard to put together an exciting lineup of activities. We hope to be in touch via email soon to confirm bookings… so keep an eye on your inbox!
As always, if you have any questions, feedback, or just want to chat, please don't hesitate to speak with a staff member. We love hearing from our families.
Warm regards, The Australia Street OSHC Team
